The QSRA exists to further all aspects of the study of Quaker history, Quakers and Quaker activity. It supports the highest academic research standards and publishes an academically refereed journal, Quaker Studies, which is distributed to subscribed members.

It is an academically refereed journal which is distributed to members of the QSRA and other interested parties such as libraries etc.

Quaker Studies is the only refereed journal covering all aspects of Quaker studies. It is multi-disciplinary and articles submitted typically cover the subject areas of aesthetics, anthropology, architecture, art, cultural studies, history, literature, peace studies, philosophy, research methodology, sociology, theology and women's studies. Quaker Studies is published twice per year, in March and September.
